Recipe Master

 

This function will be available if the flag 'Do you want to extend Open Work Order functionality with Recipe Master?' is set as 'On' through Shop Policy option of Administrator Tools Module. Otherwise it will not be displayed at all.

 

This master adds and maintains Recipes for the Parent Item. While raising an Open Work Order from the Stores and Inventory Module for a Parent Item, the Child Items that are expected to be consumed to make that Parent Item will be taken automatically from the Recipe Master.

 

A list of already existing Recipes will be displayed as follows -

 

Search:

Enter any text you want to search in the list below. The search is applicable to all columns of the list. Once the text is entered, press <ENTER> key. As a result, the list will be refreshed with all those records that contain the entered text fully or partially. In order to go back to the original list, remove the text from the box and press <ENTER> key again.

 

Recipes can be added, edited, deleted and viewed provided the Role associated with the currently logged-in user through User Management has the respective rights to do so.

To 'Add' a Recipe, click on the button and to 'Edit', click on the icon on its corresponding record. Click on icon a delete a particular Recipe. To view details of a particular Recipe, <DoubleClick> on that record. As a result, following screen will be displayed -

Recipe Master

Item Code:

Denotes the Parent Item for which Recipe has to be made.

 

While 'Adding' a new Recipe, specify the Item for which Recipe is to be made. Click on the icon on the field to access a list of Items already defined through Item Master Basic Detail Entry option of Materials Module. Select your desired Item from the list by scrolling through the pages and clicking on the 'Select' button. Alternatively you can also enter the Item Code.

 

In case of 'Edit',and 'View', Item Code will be displayed automatically for the selected record. You can change it in 'Edit' mode.

 

Please note that IMMS will accept/display only 'MK' and 'AS' type of Items.

 

You can not select an Item that has been deactivated through Activate/De-activate Master option in Administrator Tools Module. The help list will also not display such items.

 

Item Description:

Description of the selected Item Code will be displayed automatically.

 

Batch Length:

Denotes the length of the Batch.

(Type: Numeric, Length: 7.4)

 

While 'Adding' a new Recipe, enter the length of the Batch to be produced. It should be more than zero.

 

In case of 'Edit', and 'View', Batch Length will be displayed automatically for the selected Item Code. You can change it in 'Edit' mode.

 

IUOM:

Automatically displays the Internal Unit of Measurement of the selected Item as specified through Item Master Basic Detail Entry option of Materials Module for your reference purpose. It can not be changed.

 

Batch Weight:

Denotes the weight of the Batch.

(Type: Numeric, Length: 8)

 

While 'Adding' a new Recipe, enter the weight of the Batch to be produced. It should be more than zero.

 

In case of 'Edit', and 'View', Batch Weight will be displayed automatically for the selected Item Code. You can change it in 'Edit' mode.

 

UOM:

Denotes the Purchase Unit of Measurement of the Item.

 

While 'Adding' a new Recipe, specify the Purchase Unit of Measurement of the Item. Click on the field to access a list of Unit of Measurements already defined through Codes Master - Entry (Code Type = 'UM') option of Administrator Tools Module. Select your desired UOM from the list by scrolling down to it and clicking on it. Alternatively you can also enter the Unit.

 

In case of 'Edit', and 'View', UOM will be displayed automatically as per the selected Item Code. You can change it in 'Edit' mode.

 

Batch Count:

Denotes the number of Batches.

(Type: Numeric, Length: 8.4)

 

While 'Adding' a new Recipe, enter the number of Batches to be produced. It should be more than zero.

 

In case of 'Edit', and 'View', Batch Count will be displayed automatically for the selected Item Code. You can change it in 'Edit' mode.

 

Total Producible:

Denotes the number of Batches produced.

 

It is automatically calculated and displayed as (Batch Count x Batch Weight) for your information. It can not be changed.

 

Machine Code:

Denotes the Work Center for the production.

 

While 'Adding' a new Recipe, specify the Work Center at which the Batch will be produced. Click on the field to access a list of Work Centers already defined through Work Center Master - Entry option of Materials Module. Select your desired Work Center from the list by scrolling down to it and clicking on it. Alternatively you can also enter the Work Center.

 

In case of 'Edit', and 'View', Machine Code will be displayed automatically as per the selected Item Code. You can change it in 'Edit' mode.

 

Machine Name:

Description of the selected Machine Code will be displayed automatically.

Upper Segment

This section saves details related to the Upper Segment of the Parent Item.

Click on the option to enable or disable the segment. If the segment is already selected, de-selecting it will result in removal of all Child Items under it.

% Over Total Weight:

(Type: Numeric, Length: 3.2)

 

While 'Adding' a new Recipe, enter the percentage of the segment over Total Weight of the Batch to be produced. It should be more than zero. The system will check the percentage entered for Middle and Inner Segments. If the percentage entered for Upper Segment is not in proportion to the percentage of the rest of the Segments, the system will given an appropriate message. For example, if the percentage of Middle Segment is 10% and Inner Segment is 50%, than the percentage of Upper Segment should be 40%.

 

In case of 'Edit', and 'View', % Over Total Weight will be displayed automatically for the selected Item Code. You can change it in 'Edit' mode.

 

Required Bag Count for Single Batch:

(Type: Numeric, Length: 8.4)

Denotes the number of Bags required for a Single Batch.

 

While 'Adding' a new Recipe, enter the number of Bags required for a single Batch to be produced. It should be more than zero.

 

In case of 'Edit', and 'View', Required Bag Count will be displayed automatically for the selected Item Code. You can change it in 'Edit' mode.

 

Proportionate Weight:

Denotes the proportionate weight of the Upper Segment with respect to the Total Producible Weight.

 

It is calculated and displayed automatically as '% Over Total Weight' / 100) x 'Total Producible'. It can not be changed.

 

Proportionate Bag Count:

Denotes the proportionate Bag count for the Upper Segment.

 

It is calculated and displayed automatically as 'Batch Count' x 'Required Bag Count for Single Batch'. It can not be changed.

 

Next, a grid will be displayed for the Child Items required to make the selected Parent Item as follows-

 

While 'Adding' a new Recipe, this grid will be displayed blank. You can start entering the Child Items.

 

In case of 'Edit', and 'View', this grid will be populated with the Child Items belonging to the Upper Segment. You can add, edit or remove Child Items.

 

Click on button to enter a new Item. As a result, a new row will be added in the grid.

 

Please note that it is mandatory to select at least one SHK Granule Child Item, one Mix Material Child Item and one normal Child Item in the grid.

Total Requirement Weight per Batch:

Denotes the total weight required of the Child Item per bag.

 

It is calculated and displayed automatically as 'Proportionate Bag Count' x 'Requirement Weight per Bag'. It can not be changed.

Total Requirement Weight per Bag:

Automatically displays the total of 'Requirement Weight per Bag' in the grid. It can not be changed.

 

Total Proportionate Weight:

Automatically displays the total of 'Total Proportionate Weight' in the grid. It can not be changed.

 

Total Requirement Weight per Batch:

Automatically displays the total of 'Total Requirement Weight per Batch' in the grid. It can not be changed.

Middle Segment

This section saves details related to the Middle Segment of the Parent Item.

Click on the option to enable or disable the segment. If the segment is already selected, de-selecting it will result in removal of all Child Items under it.

% Over Total Weight:

(Type: Numeric, Length: 3.2)

 

While 'Adding' a new Recipe, enter the percentage of the segment over Total Weight of the Batch to be produced. It should be more than zero. It is calculated and displayed automatically as 'Batch Count' x 'Required Bag Count for Single Batch'. It can not be changed.

 

Next, a grid will be displayed for the Child Items required to make the selected Parent Item as follows-

Once you have entered all the information related to the Recipe, click on 'Save' button to save it or 'Cancel' to discard. The control will go back to the list.
